Going to Daytona Beach for One day, need advice

So my company is having a sales meeting in Daytona Beach this week. They are flying in all of the sales reps from all over, except me. They told me I have to drive (5-6 hours)!!! Kinda pissed about this, so I am going to drive down there super early and hang out for a day. Are there any daytime places that I can go? I literally know nothing about the area.

I do not want to get drunk, but would like to do some kind of site seeing, or goto some cool stores, etc... I dont want to spend any money (so to say), but just do something to entertain myself for a few hours.

I will probably get there around noon, and have the rest of the day to hang out.

You can get some cheap flights on alliegant airlines from Greensboro or Spartanburg direct to florida. But then you probably have to rent a car anyway.

Cool except those drives are 4-5 hrs.

LOL, I guess I pay the premium for living where most people come to retire!

I love the Ale House, right off of 95 on International Speedway Blvd. Also Houligan's (best wings ever) not too far from 40 off of 95. If you like oysters, Oyster Pub on beachside. Damn, you're making me miss Daytona.

This.....damn. Try the Wally Wings!
