If they only save $1 million by cutting him, I'm not sure what the advantage is. Any good backup they have to sign in his place isn't going to be measurably cheaper than $1 million in cap space for this coming year.

i'm pretty sure most 3rd string QBs who don't dress are worth that much

we could pick up a UDFA like that oregon kid for the minimum. get what money you can get imo.

But, Clausen does not equal good backup.

He is worthless on this team.

We havn't seen him since he has been getting actual QB coaching.

He could have surpassed Anderson in the offseason in value and production.

Not saying he has, but I'm not so sure that I feel comfortable with carrying only 2 QB's on the roster heading into the season.

That said, the coaches will know who to keep, Hurney listening is another story.
