Should we get Alshon Jeffrey in the 5th round??

What it proved is that he lost @30 pounds and ran a good time. So now you have to wonder why he wasn't in that type of shape in college. Why didn't he play at 213. What does that say about his work ethic going forward. If you draft him is he going to play at 239 or 213?

He will get drafted high and deservedly so, but he now has a whole new box of questions he is going to need to answer about why he hasn't been in this kind of shape all along.

What this proves is that you're trying to cling onto a source that has been proven as bogus. That these new facts decimate your predetermined way of thinking, and you're struggling with that.

I'll connect the dots for you.

Alshon Jeffery was never 239. Your "source" was lying, or wrong. The basis of your dislike for Jeffery was inaccurate, invalidating your opinion of him. If you really think he lost "thirty pounds" in a month, you're kidding yourself.

He was listed at 229 and he looked at least ten pounds heavier than that by the end of the season.

I have no preconceived notions or hate for Jefferey. If you weren't so sensitive about him you would have noticed that about 2 weeks prior to me posting this I posted that Jefferey was my preference over Blackmon if the Panthers went WR in this draft at some point. Pretty strong compliment for a guy that has "allegiances" that make me predispositioned to hate on Alshon.

I posted the report because it was so extreme that if it were true there is no way Alshon gets drafted in the first two rounds.'

Again my original title was tongue in cheek. Sorry for the butthurt.

zomg you posted this photo this totally invalidates all the facts now!

No, not really.

And being sensitive? I was speaking to all the vultures in this thread who used a bogus report to pounce. I never specifically mentioned you, yet your the one drawing your e-sword to defend yourself. Not only does it make you look as if you feel the need to defend yourself now that your report has been shot down, it makes you look sensitive...Not I.

Show of hands - who actually thinks Alshon runs a 4.3?

So we have a receiver that couldn't be bothered with conditioning during the actual season focus on nothing but shedding weight for his pro day. He gets his speed down (lol) to 4.5 and posts pretty average measurables across the board.

fug yes, sign me up for some of that.

I'm curious as to where you get your reports that he doesn't condition during the season. I'm gonna guess it has something to do with a photo and not a lot to do with any actual, evidence. And average measurables? 6'4, 213, and a 4.4-4.5 forty time? lol average measurables...Now you're just making a fool of yourself.

What this proved is that people, on this board due to their collegiate alliances or whatever reason, had already made up their mind about Jeffery. They sought any opportunity to attack him, and did not care if what they were raving about was false.

4.38 for a 213 lb guy who has the best hands in the draft is incredible. Validated his spot as one of the best in this class.

RT @TonyPauline: Jeffery's official times being passed around the workout as 4.49/4.50...

And notice in your posts you did specifically say me.

Plus it looks like you also may have jumped the gun with your "reports" of a 4.38

I am defending myself because I started the thread and you bumped it to talk poo.

And as far as losing 30 pounds in 3 months...I started a strict diet January 3rd, so about 3 months and have lost 70 pounds with very little excersise so that isn't that far fetched.

My reports came from actual, verified, credible sources on a day where we knew Jeffery would be working out. There was information waiting to be reported, and I did so as it came out.

Your "info" came from some random Twittertard who had a beef with Jeffery much like some of the idiots on this board, putting out slanderous misinformation because, for whatever reason he didn't like him. It was stated at that time period that Jeffery wasn't even in Florida, yet some used this thread as a catalyst to perpetuate their axe grinding against him.

Right, the two scenarios are exactly the same.

Would you have been okay with drafting Dwayne Jarrett in the 5th round?

There isn't anything to link the two's plays together other than ignorance. Someone saying this does nothing but illustrate that ignorance.

"ZOMG he's big! JARED BRAH! HES TOTALLY JARED!!"

It was a tweet that was re-tweeted by Evan Silva. I am not aware of any beef the Joe Everett from www.rookiedraft.com would have with Jeffery. Can you fill me in??
