For Those Who Filed NC Income Tax Return

I did my tax returns online on January 29 and I received my federal refund last week, but I have yet to receive my NC refund.

I went on Taxslayer to check the status and noticed the state hasn't even accepted my damn return yet. Has anybody else experienced a significant delay on getting their refunds this year?

You usually get your federal refund back relatively quick but state is a different story. State always takes longer than federal.

state uses a strange accounting method for paying refunds. not so much FIFO(first in, first out) but they are moving funds around they don't have. silly i know but they do it.

some if you will have to wait until I pay my taxes on April 14th + a few days for my check to clear. Sorry for the delay, but I'm paying - so I wait till the end to do it.

State accepted my return day after I filed it. As I am getting 9 whole dollars back, this is not something I am worrying about.
