Where does Cam rank amoung NFL QB's

I rather have Cam then any QB in the league, but I still has some work, year two with a full training camp, his rookie season will be his worse.

3300 yards and 25 TDs, not including your #1 receiver, isn't really average at all.

3300 yards is fairly average.

25 TDs is pretty impressive though.

Based off last regular season only I would rank these qb's ahead of Cam in this order.

1. Aaron Rodgers

2. Drew Bress

3. Tom Brady

4. Matthew Stafford

5. Eli Manning

so 6th seems right to me. Pretty damn good for a rookie QB. When ypu combine every QB'S Passing and Rushing stats Cam is 6th overall and 5th in overall TD's.

Eli just won a Superbowl, is now everyone's favorite "Elite QB!" name, and had 3400 yards and 20 TDs without his main dude.

Last year Peyton had 3350 yards and 27 TDs without Reggie Wayne.

So, if you take away Stafford's number one target, he still holds up to others in the "elite" category. That's the point - part of being an elite quarterback is actually feeding your stud.

fyi, Cam had 2700 yards and 14 (passing, plus 14 rushing TDs for a total of 28) without Smitty.

sure he does, wasn't meant to be a knock on him, just to show the difference removing a guy's #1 receiver makes on his numbers. It's not unique to any of those QBs. Doesn't mean they're average.

Oh yeah I know. #1 recievers are what they're labeled: the QB's go to guy. Everyone needs that guy one guy on their team if they want to succeed. Forte, Jennings, Gronk. Hopefully our WR corps can look like the Giants next year with the return of Gettis.

Cam is a more dangerous weapon, period. He brings another level of offense that has to be accounted for. Requires an extra blocker to make sure that he doesn't run, and if they dont respect him, they will get burned.

That extra blocker, or 'spy' means that the rest of our offense is facing 10 guys on defense instead of all 11.

Even with all of those legitimate advantages he still did not out perform many qbs in that top 10 list. I have no doubt he will be a top 5 qb. But it's too early to crown him just yet. There are still a ton of of things he needs to get better at as well as things we need to do as a team to get better.

That is true, but Megatron always commands double teams, which makes it easier for him to pass to his other targets, just like Smith used to do in Carolina, still does... but not all of the time anymore.

Stafford is a good QB, but not as good as Cam, who has a better arm and a much better skill set.

When is the last time you heard anyone say that Stafford is going to 'change the game'?

Nowhere did I make any mention of comparing Stafford to Cam. But to say Stafford is just average without Calvin isn't telling the truth when you have nothing to suggest it and the numbers say otherwise.

This. Obviously Calvin is a monster help but Pettigrew had almost 800 yards and 5 TDs. Their other TE had 350 yards and 6 TDs. Burleson had 750 yards and 3 TDs. Young 600 yards and 6 TDs. People love to say Stafford is only good because he just throws it up to Calvin yet his others targets also have good numbers.

When I look at that list I see a bunch of old pro's. QB's that have been around so long that the only things they haven't done aren't worth doing.

Then you got Cam and he just a Baby so to speak. Then his Rookie season comes in and breaks all of the Old Dogs records well a few any way. Has a football sent to HOF with his name on it for rushing TDs for a QB

If Cam is like most QB's he will get better and thats a very scary thought.

Number 6 might be pretty high and then again might be kinda low..

Just ask him and he will probably tell. The only way to be the best is believe you are and then set out to prove it.

Of that list... the only thing worth debating is Cam vs. Stafford. The list is pretty solid... and I'd say there's a legit argument that Romo and Ryan shouldn't even be on it and Rivers and Schaub should be.

Cam is definitely top 10 in the league.
