Bell and Keiser shine as undrafted free agent rookies for the Panthers

good article. I posted an article about 2-3 months ago about Bell and Keiser making the all unwanted pro team which was the top undrafted free agents this season. I really would love to see Keiser and Bell progress next season. If we can turn them into consistent starters then we won't have to worry about upgrading the DE and OL positions. I wish them the best of luck and since their price is so cheap I hope they can really improve because it will save us money.

You should call Otah that to his face. Really you should. I didn't claim superstar, I just think he's better than Bell at this point. Bell needs to improve greatly or he needs to be upgrade. It's that simple.

That would be fantastic if the game was handicapped based upon how players were acquired.

Otah is our worst 1st round pick in 10 yrs. Dan Morgan being a close second. At least Dan Morgan tried his damnest to get back on the field. Otah is doing nothing more than collecting a check.

i try not to criticize the front office but if we keep Otah for the money we are paying him we are screwing ourselves. We definitely don't need to pay him big money for 1/2 the performance. Wanna make his contract based on performance I am all for re-signing him. OTHERWISE Cut him. At least Bell will be there playing.

this post is probably the best example I can ever remember on this board of an uninformed opinion being presented as completely factual and in as adamant as fashion as this is being presented.

Oh and if you add in the little part about being completely false to boot, well this may be the worst post of the month (barring flamers, non-Panthers and teenagers) if not this young year of 2012.

The only thing that's ever been said about Otah was by Rivera. He said Otah was doing everything possible to rehab. I'll take his word over yours obviously so please spare us your made up reality.

Otah might not be made to hold up in the NFL. His career might not last much longer but he was effective on the field and more so than Bell.

CRX Yeah Rivera is going to say he is a POS and not worth the money we paid him. Even I know he would never say that. But don't think for one minute he isn't pissed that our 1st round money is going for a man who carves his name into the seat he sits on.

Otah is a beast when he plays. Never argued that fact. But you are happy with about 7 games a year? NOT WORTH THE MONEY... Bell is was a rookie and played every game he was asked to and helped our team to a #5 offensive rating. I guess you do that with a Shitty RT.

I find it funny how you clowns back Otah on what Rivera says about him but Trash Bell yet Rivera praises him as well. I guess it only suits you when it meets your theory.

Bell got his playing time as a rookie, with the whole lockout thing, then getting thrown in vs the Packers, he did pretty good IMO, yeah he struggled at times, made some mistakes, but as the season went on he got better IMO,

Next year with a full training camp, he might not start, but we all know Otah will only play about 6 1/2 games and Bell's number will be called, and he will shine.

I don't think anyone thinks that he played well last year. What I and others have said was that given the circumstances and the fact he was a rookie, he showed promise and could figure into the mix this year.

I think that Otah will be given the chance to start this year. Given we have already invested a first rounder in the RT position I would be surprised if we devote a first or second rounder this year into the position again. So it really comes down to whether we use the guys who are slated as his backup to come in to start if Otah fails, bring in a FA, or draft one or more guys at RT. Th question for me is whether we are looking for an immediate replacement or one down the road. I doubt a draft pick outside of the first or second round makes an impact this year so if we are looking for a guy to start if Otah doesn't, do we go FA, high draft pick, or use what we have?

I think we will draft a guy in the middle rounds, and go with what we have. Will it work? Time will tell.

I don't have a strong opinion either way on Bell, but I do think he's alright depth. But we should totally walk out 2012 with the Schwartz brothers anchoring the right side.
