Bell and Keiser shine as undrafted free agent rookies for the Panthers

Bell was garbage. However, I have seen garbage linemen turn into serviceable linemen before and that goes double for rookies. I wouldn't hang my hat on him being our starter next season, but I wouldn't mind seeing him in the mix for it.

Perception of the play of non-skill players is always up for debate because it's largely interpretation. To me, Bell played like crap but played progressively less like crap as the season went on. How much of that was Cam's elusiveness and how much of that was Bell's blocking.... who knows.

I loved Keiser last year, definitely a high motor kid who showed some flashes. I can't wait to see what he does with a full offseason of development.

Some of you are saying Bell was terrible, and may be depth, if that.

Some are saying he played well for a rookie, and may just improve.

Who would have thought there would be no consensus on this issue?

IMO, we are not going to address the O-line unless something remarkable happens. We have to much of a mess going on defensively to not spend our resourses tweaking the D.

2nd most penalties of any offensive lineman in the league and 7th most penalties overall and he only started 12 games. I wouldn't call that a successful season.

My thoughts exactly, and people stop bashing bell. He was an undrafted rookie who started 12 games and played against some of the NFLs top pass rushers and he gave up 4 sacks you say.....not bad to me

No OTA, Minicamps and only pre-season. I have read where they say he has excellent footwork and has all the tools to be a top notch Tackle. There isn't a OT in the game that didn't give up a sack or two or four his rookie year.

One of Keiser's key attributes was his motor. I would love to see him in 16 games. Worse would be letting him go and someone pick him up and he becomes a star

When you are down to 4th on your depth chart ( Otah, The Dude, Williams ) what do you expect? Trying to blame this on Hurney is just stupid.

It amazes me that some think this guy shouldn't have any mistakes. Never get beaten and should have been a superstar from the gitgo.

I don't really care if you think it is homerism or not. You sound more like a Madden player that dumps someone because they don't perform perfectly every play every game. I guess when you played you were flawless. Then again you probably didn't.
