Linsanity

The guy's not gonna last long with the number of turnovers he's committing. But it's hella fun watching him play right now.

I think Melo is gonna mesh well with Lin. I think Melo understands what's happening, that everyone in the world loves Lin and he's not ready to fug that up. The only hiccup I see with those two, is who gets the ball at the end. But I don't think Lin would hesitate for 1 second to give Melo the shot.

hahah more like your GM. And the bay area has a huge asian population. Terrible move

Lin didn't show a whole lot, but was a fan favorite. We needed to clear $$ to make an offer to DeAndre Jordan, and LA friggin' matched it, so we cut Lin for nothing basically. I'm not that upset because in all honesty if you asked 100 people who is a better player Steph Curry or Lin, 90 of them would say Curry and 10 would say Lin, and those 10 would be just following all the Lin-hype. If he was still here he'd be nothing more than a 10 minute bench player, so none of this would have gone down anyway so I guess I can't be that bitter.

Yea I know with Curry and Ellis he wouldnt be getting much playing time but half of his success is just being in D'Antoni's system. Perfect situation for Lin.

He was the 3rd most popular player in Golden State behind Ellis and Curry. I would have kept him because of that

Yeah the only thing I could see is Step always has ankle-problems, so Lin would've been a nice backup. Nate has actually been a solid fill-in for us though, and has been great off the bench. With the Nor-Cal Asian population they should've cut somebody else to make room because Lin was wildly popular here, but oh well. The Warriors management decided to use their one-time get out of a fugup free amnesty provision on someone not named Andris Beidrins, so they are pretty much idiots to me until they prove otherwise.

They shouldn't keep a player on a team just because fans like him nor should they keep a player on a team because he's racially similar to some of the locals.

Lin ended up being a star but the Warriors and Rockets made the best decision for their franchises at the time. If they forever kept Asian and Latino players just to please locals, they'd struggle to compete when other teams are assessing players bast on talent alone.
