Why do I feel like I'm reading a Falcons troll post from the past from a Panthers fan? Vick had success against us and the rest of the league in early years, but I seem to remember us beating him 3 out the last 4 times we played against him. The last time was when the playoffs were on the line (for Atlanta, not for us), and Vick couldn't manage to do anything despite the fact that our quarterback (Chris Weinke) wasn't on the field half the time and threw all of 7 passes for 32 yards. I also seem to remember him playing like garbage in losses to a 1-6 Lions team and a 2-6 Browns team which also helped cost his team a playoff spot. Sounds to me like he wasn't improving and was more of a nightmare for his offensive coordinators rather than opponent's defensive coordinators. But please put 100% of the blame on his receivers, coaches, and fans for his failures.

All I know is I can't trust your opinion on whether White's a good QB if you're honestly telling me that Mike Vick is a better player than Matt Ryan.

No one's putting the blame on his receivers, coaches, and fans for his failures. Why is it so easy to give credit to guys like Jeff Garcia and Matt Ryan when they beat us, but we cant do the same for a guy like Vick all these years?

Matt Ryan at this point is a 1 year wonder. When he wins some playoff games, makes a few pro bowls, then we can honestly say he's a better QB than Vick, but until then its wishful thinking. Kinda like all those people who swore another Matt (Schaub) was better too. How's he looking down there in Houston? LOL.

You did argue that his receivers were never good back on the old board, but have had to back off that one since Ryan proved that you can win with White and Jenkins, which supposedly were terrible receivers. Other fans of Vick blamed his coaches and learning a new style of offense, and went as far as to blame the fans that have created a hostile environment towards him.

In my last post, I said that Vick had success against us and the rest of the league in his early years (see, there's credit). I only point out his failures because you make it sound like he beat us every game.

Vick went to the playoffs twice in the first 3 years of his career and won two playoff games, but couldn't make it his last two years. Ryan's already been there after his first year and is only going to get better. Sounds like it's wishful thinking on your end that Ryan won't be better than him. As for Schaub, I was never on that boat. It's a dangerous game to put all your eggs in one basket on a player who has proven nothing except for a couple of relief appearances....exactly what people around these parts were wanting to do with Chris Weinke.

Only difference is, Vince Young is 26 years old in his 4th season, Jake Delhomme is 34 with 10 years under his belt!
