Pat White in the second round for Panthers?

You are now officially the biggest racist and bigot I have ever met or known. No matter what happens in this world, people like you will continue to blame everything on race.

It must be really sad to go through life an angy and bitter person like you....continue to blame everything bad on "The White Man". That way, you never have to take any responsibility for your own actions or lack of accomplishments.

We've never met and I'm actually pretty happy. Im about to go up to Lexington, NC. Ever been there? Its a great town, stop thru there when you get a chance. I said it before, if you're angry with the facts Ive posted, dont be mad at me. The track record speaks for itself. Its not about blaming the white man. Its about missing out on the leadership of a different style of QB. I'll take your anger and harsh words as a sign that you are embarassed just as I at the lack of disparity given to black QBs who display athletic ability. It hurts me too MadHatter.

How bout the coaches start the best QB and it just so happens that most of the time the QB is white. Just like coaches start the best 5 on a basketball court and it just so happens most of the time almost all the players are black. It all boils down to culture, but you dont realise that. But am I going to hear you defend the number of white players vs black players in the NBA? I highly doubt it.

cAN WE PLEASE turn this back towards ability and away from color PLEASE

Don Banks has an article bout him today.

My guess is how the NFL sees Pat White will also continue to evolve. Don't forget, on "money day'' at this year's combine, when the quarterbacks worked out, White was the most impressive passer on the field. True, Stafford skipped the workout, but Sanchez and Freeman didn't. White forced teams to see him as a quarterback that afternoon, not just a receiver-return man who could also add some razzle-dazzle to their attack.

thanks kurb.....moving on.

"Pat White is not a gimmick,'' Mayock said. "He's the type of kid who you want the ball in his hands. I don't care if he's running it, throwing it, or catching it. I want the ball in his hands. Some teams like him as a quarterback. I'd take him in the second round with no hesitation, use him as a Wildcat this season, and try to develop him as a full-time quarterback, because I think he's got that kind of ability.''
that's what i'm screaming and what i have been saying for a long time.

You are missing my point. I do not have an issue with a black QB....far from it. I think McNabb is a great QB. Does he get a bad rap for "not playing well in big games"....I think he does. People forget that he consistently gets his team to the big game.

I have seen Pat White play 5-10 times in his college career....and he consistently impressed with his ability. I think he definitely has a chance as a QB in the NFL. His athletic ability makes him a dynamic weapon and he has shown solid skills throwing the ball. I hope he does succeed in the NFL....but not because of his race.

I would welcome Pat White in a Panthers uniform. However, with our needs on the DL, I just can't see using a 2nd rd pick on him.....and that is where he will be taken.

You, however, want him to succeed BECAUSE of his race....that is the big difference.

Is there racism in the world....Yes. Is it wrong and appaling.....Yes. Is everything that happend negative to an african-american due to race....No.

I will never understand why some people carry on a heated discussion for so long. At what point do you realize that you are just wasting you're own time? It's just a little bit absurd to think that somewhere between your 27th and 28th posts on the topic, the person you are arguing with will magically think "Oh, now I see what you're saying. I completely agree with you!"

Boredom. Plus making a fool out of someone in a public message board is fun.

There's a limit though - the first two posts are fun but by the 26th post you're annoyed and in some cases starting to look like a fool yourself for spending so much time trying to convince someone whose opinion isn't wavering that you're right.

Continuing to argue a point of race, (or lack thereof) with KT is an exercise in futility. His mind is closed forever. I like to tease him a little from time to time, but would never get into a serious convo with him about race, just not worth the time...

Even though there are many times that I disagree with him (see most of this thread for example), I appreciate his perspective and think he does bring things to the table that are discussion worthy even if you don't see eye to eye with him. I also think the subject matter he brings up makes people defensive and he gets attacked more than he should because of it, even if he's not necessarily attacking people.

I disagree, he is singleminded in his responses and completely unyielding in his takes. The thought that an NFL team would purposely make race a more important factor than winning is absolutely ludicrous, yet that's his take time and again. Oops, I did it again...

Nevermind...
