Brees growing 'frustrated' over contract

In either case, the window is closing on the Saints... if they tag Brees they're going to have to let some good players walk, if they give him the contract he wants they're going to have to let even more good players walk.

Saints are going to quickly find themselves in the same boat as the Colts, they better pray to the god of swamp trash that Brees doesn't go down with an injury.

Nothing could make me happier than the birth of my two sons....with the exception of one thing: The Saints sinking back down to sucking and dragging all of their bandwagon fans with them.

Remember when you couldn't hardly find anyone that would admit to being a Saints fan?

Wonder if that stupid kid will continue with the body paint (which is gay) when his team goes back in the toilet?

On that subject, have you ever noticed how every Aints fan has to have some stupid f*cking gimmick when they show up to games?

They can't just show up and watch the game, they have to wear some kind of f*cking ridiculous costume like a bunch of children.

Every fan base has a few of these guys, but the Saints are second only to the Raiders in terms of fans showing up with stupid f*cking costumes on.

It just tells you that they're there for attention, not to watch a football game.

I really don't see this is a big deal as far as the Saints team next year. Brees will be there no matter what. And if they lose Colston, I don't see a huge drop off happening. Brees will find somebody else. My guess is if Colston goes somewhere else he will not put up numbers even close to what he did with Brees. Of course tagging Brees might hurt the Saints chances of ever getting a long term deal with him. Although, I'm guessing they are already hesitant because of his age and shoulder problem.

You're probably right that Colston wouldn't be THAT big of a loss - the bigger loss for them that I'm rooting for as a Panthers fan would be Carl Nicks. Right now, the only type of defense that has been able to pressure Brees are teams with good edge rushers like the 49ers because of how good Nicks and Evans are at keeping DTs at bay (as well as opening up massive running lanes for their backs). Look at how much they manhandled Suh, Fairley and Corey Williams in the playoffs. Nicks is arguably the better of the two guards. If teams are able to get pressure up the middle on Brees, there will be no more record breaking offensive numbers.

Those I would imagine are their top 2 priorities. One will get tagged whether they like it or not but they cant do anything about it. Then the contract will come after that. For us to think they lose one or both guys is almost a pipe dream. I think of the big 3 Colston would be the odd man out but he would demand the least money. None of us knows whats really going on or their plans but we can be assured they will lose something.

lols @ like an adult. That duude is definitely a lunatic, but eh man he's representing so what can you say. Like I said before, its nice that Saints fans get all that seafood down there in inbred land. . . they'll be enjoying some fish n chips with the London Saints very soon. Bet meh!

And Nawlins is a cesspool that deserves neither fame nor fortune. It's not really worth noting at all. They are a representation of the pan handling bums that roam all their streets. Always looking for handouts and its never enough if you give em something. That's Aintville. Filthy, sickly, smelly, and ungrateful. . .yep that sums it up.

The funny part is that the locals would vouch for everything I just said.

According to @JasonColeYahoo, #Saints and Drew Brees are currently $5M per year apart on a new deal: bit.ly/irwIs1
