ESPN Streak for the Cash

My highest streak was 10 but I forgot to check it one day and it magically went back to zero. Idk why though because I would sometimes forget it for a few days and come back to a streak of 3 or 4. I guess the higher your streak gets the more often you have to choose.

It is a monthly contest, so if you got up to 10 in January for example it does not carry over to when the new contest starts in February. You can pick as slowly or quickly as you like.

To the OP, I've played since the game started a couple of years ago. I got up to my highest streak ever at 21 last month and was tied at the top of the leaderboard with about 8 days left in the month. I picked Purdue at home to beat Michigan (they were -220 to win and a 5 point favorite) and they ended up missing several free throws and losing by 2. The person who was tied with me stayed away from the game and not only ended up winning the 50K, but got to 27 to win the 100K.

wow. any tips?

Main mistake that most people make is paying too much attention to the % that is picking either side of the matchup...I think the general population just looks at the record of the two teams being picked and makes the decision based upon that. I look more at the moneyline or point spread that vegas puts out as representative of what should be picked, and also look at Accuscore (it's a free app that simluates most major sporting matchups). After I get up to a streak of about 5 or so, I start getting a lot more selective of what I pick. Beware of the 9 hole golf prop and of soccer matches as they tend to be the biggest toss-ups. Other than that, it takes a lot of luck to get a really long streak going so don't be discouraged if it doesn't happen right away.
