The Huddle's Top Ten Video Games

I haven't read the thread, but Final Fantasy VII may be the greatest game ever. At least, story-wise. Obviously, given the time it was made, it's not graphically great by today's standards. However, it is just an awesome game.

yep that is why it's number 1 in my book, still is the one game I would love to see remade more then any other, nothing fancy just a graphics overhaul with voice acting added in.

Not in a real order, that would take far too much of my time and I'm not taking the easy way out and counting any game series as a single game.

1. Pokemon Red/Blue (ok I guess this one is kind of like counting a series.)

2. Counter Strike: Source

3. StarCraft

4. Final Fantasy VII

5. Diablo II

6. Metal Gear Solid

7. Street Fighter IV

8. Super Smash Brothers: Melee

9. Fallout 3

10. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

1. Deus Ex

2. Earthbound

3. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

4. Super Mario Bros 3

5. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

6. Half Life 2

7. Fallout 3

8. Super Smash Bros Melee

9. Harvest Moon 64

10. Donkey Kong Country 2

Earthbound could be replaced with Mother 3 (I prefer EBs exploration and light hearted story to M3s great narrative and somber story, just by a bit though), and Ocarina of Time could be interchanged with Wind Waker or A Link to the Past. M3, WW, AlttP probably should have made it in there, but I wanted series variety.

Don't really play much video games anymore, they've gone to poo with their constant rehashes and DLC up the ass.

MGS3 is my favorite of the series, beat that game to hell and back, my fastest run through was 1:38 from start to finish

Good call on the Pokemon Gameboy games. I found a website last year with Red/Yellow/Blue on there and wasted weeks replaying that stuff.

pokemon is good fun, things just kinda got out of hand with the more recent installments, because they've been trying to keep one coming out every so often for the new kids, but boy the games from red/blue - Ruby/Sapphire were pretty damn good

Have to disagree on this. Even back to the Red/Blue days, there were advanced techniques behind training your pokemon that most people didn't know about.

1) Socom series minus the last one.

2) GTA SA

3) Contra (NES)

4)Excite Bike (NES)

5) Tiger Woods Series

6) Madden Series

7) Fight Night Series

8) Assassins Creed 2 and Revalations

9) Battle Field 2

10) James Bond (N64)

You pick a bunch of sports games, a shitty shooter, name entire series instead of games and can't even properly name Goldeneye? Exquisite taste good sir.
