Anyone hear the Thomas Davis interview

So many people on the site are negative about him because of his injuries, but when he plays they are all over his dick.... That is the definition of being fake. The man can flat out play, and when you play hard you get hurt more, look at Bob Sanders and polomolu... Always hurt, but worth it when they are in, GIVE TD A BREAK, if the team believes in him that's all that matters

Think I said it earlier but people in the know are saying the reason he didn't recover from the first 2 surgeries is because was Team Doctors doing the surgery. Says this time it was Dr. Andrews (yes that one) who did the surgery this time. Night and day difference in both feel and recovery time. I'm sure the FO is going to protect themselves contractually from another injury. Hopefully he recovers fully and/or close to fully as possible and contributes next year.

I hope TD wins Comeback player of the year!!
If he plays this year, even in a rotational role, and hasn't re-injured himself by the time the season ends, I'd say he's a shoe-in for that award. Let's face it, the guy has been an all-pro caliber LB for us.

TD I'm sure is looking at it from the perspective of "I can start out at a new team with a big time injury history where the trainers and coaches have no clue about me or I can help the Panthers out, restructure and play for a team that is familiar with my situation." Which one do you think is better for his long-term success? Seeing what he can get on the open-market which will probably not be much and going to a new situation or coming back to a familiar situation and having a guaranteed contract? He'll restructure...

The bidding starts at around 800,000 a year? If he is cleared, he stays at Carolina with incentives/ injury clauses in the contract....no bidding war for TD at this point.

Keep hoping. Thomas Davis is done. His whole attitude of "I feel great" and "I want to stay with the Panthers" is to get another paycheck and I dont blame him.

I think his attitude is more about him trying to make himself believe that he can still play instead of trying to convince everyone else so he can get another paycheck. Which, unfortunately, is why I think he's done and the team would be best to just move on.

Let me think, take back one of the top 5 best WLB's in the game....or start one of the horrible...horrible....HOOOOOORRRRRRRRIBLE backups that we have behind him.....tough choice. Considering his contract will be small give me one good reason why you shouldn't bring him back. "He might get hurt again", he's twice the linebacker of anyone else on the team not named jon beason, you don't throw those players away when they WANT to play for you for very little.

People have it in their head that TD was some average or slightly above average WLB. When he was clearly one of the best in the game and the guys that are backing him up or we will draft won't be able to touch his level of play.

Bring him back.
