i can't believe nobody's talking about Aaron Rodger's comments on the Giants

While I agree the reaction to Cam saying it would have been greatly exaggerated, in my opinion aaron rodgers has a bit more leeway to run his mouth in public because of his accomplishments.

cam will get there too, though.

What he said was probably true, and the OP is right, had Cam said the same thing he would have been called out for it.

But, a ring and a league MVP carry a little more clout than a ROTY.

Tom Brady says stuff all the time that an ordinary player would be crucified for saying. But he has earned the right to say those things.

Success/respect gives you a certain freedom to run off at the mouth.

Perfect example: When Raheem Morris said that the Bucs were the best team in the NFL last year, he was a laughing stock. But, if Belicheck had said the same about the Pats, no one would have blinked twice.

doesnt surprise me.

i honestly believe Coughlin put 12 guys on the field on purpose on that last drive.

Yeah, I would have. If the only penalty against you is 5 yards and the clock is run down for the play, it is well worth it. It seems like they need to have a rule where inside of 2 minutes, a penalty like that would reset the clock after the play to the original time if the penalty is accepted.

Its true, I can recall watching at least two giants games where a player did the "go down for 30 seconds" move to stall no-huddle offenses.

Hell, I remember one play where two of them went down, then one got right back up when he saw his teammate was taking the dive.

I highly doubt that. Media twists almost everything he says.

Rodgers was on point with everything he said. And I love the term "gamesmanship" as he was saying it with a half-grin. When he was saying that, I was surprised the host (can't remember if Dan Patrick or Bob Costas) didn't dig in on those comments.

Good for Rodgers to call it out though.
