NFL Modern Era All-Time Team...

I was thinking of the most unbiased way to come up with an all-time team, post merger era (the merger meant more competition). Stats don't tell the whole story (besides kickers, punters, and returners). Pro Bowl selections would be a complete joke. The best way I thought about coming up with one is looking at all-pro selections by major agencies.

There are multiple agencies that each contain a panel who follow the game and make their selections. I have been doing this for a number of years, but never posted (because usually these things turn into a bitch fest). I update each year. This is what it looks like right now:

OFFENSE:

WR2: Marvin Harrison - Terrell Owens

LT: Anthony Munoz - Willie Roaf

LG: Randall McDaniel - Alan Faneca

C: Bruce Matthews - Kevin Mawae

RG: John Hannah

RT: Jonathan Ogden - Ron Yary

TE: Tony Gonzalez - Antonio Gates - Shannon Sharpe

WR1: Jerry Rice - Steve Largent - Randy Moss

QB: Peyton Manning - Dan Marino - Steve Young

FB: Mike Alstott - Larry Csonka

HB: Barry Sanders - Walter Payton - Ladainian Tomlinson

DEFENSE:

LDE: Reggie White - Michael Strahan

LDT: Randy White - John Randle

RDT: Joe Greene - Alan Page

RDE: Bruce Smith - Jack Youngblood

SLB: Junior Seau - Jack Ham

MLB: Ray Lewis - Mike Singletary - Jack Lambert

WLB: Lawrence Taylor - Derrick Brooks

LCB: Deion Sanders - Charles Woodson - Champ Bailey

RCB: Mike Haynes - Rod Woodson

SS: Ronnie Lott - Troy Polamalu

FS: Ken Houston - Ed Reed

SPECIAL TEAMS:

K: Jason Hanson * #

P/KO/H: Shane Lechler * #

LS: Trey Junkin #

PR/KR: Mel J Gray * #

* = Based on statistics

# = Based on longevity of career

GRADING SYSTEM:

1. Focus on number of 1st and 2nd team All-Pros selected by major agencies after the merger of 1970.

A) Major Agencies Selecting All-Pros:

AP, UP/UPI/International News Service, Hall of Fame, Pro Football Writers Association, Sporting News.

B) Minor Agencies Selecting All-Pros:

Pro Football Weekly, Chicago Herald America, Newspaper Enterprise Association, New York Daily News.

Tie Breaker:

1) Most number of 1st team All-Pro selections.

2) Most number of All-Pro selections by minor agencies. Number of 1st team selections if still tied.

3) Statistics

Can you guys not f**king read? This is why I never posted this. Because people don't take the time to actually read the post before typing out something ignorant. This is not my opinion. Its about number of all-pro selections. You can have your opinion all you want. But this is the order of which who has the most all-pro selections. Harrison has 8. Moss has 4. TO has 5.

Whoa...calm down.

I was just saying if I had to pick one to start, it wouldn't be Sanders.

That's pretty sick nephew. I would put Randy Moss as the #2 and have Marvin in the slot. Also I'd put Champ and Ed Reed in over Haynes/Houston
