You ever been to a nascar race?

I got a buddy who's a huge NASCAR fan. I kid him about it from time to time.

Me? I can watch a race and find it interesting, but I'll never be a rabid fan.

I listened to a race on the radio last year and it was infinitely more interesting that actually watching it on television.

Nascar fans seem to be Nascar fans before they're fans of a single driver.

this is a damn good point. you can watch a football game between two teams you care nothing about but still enjoy it... if you don't care at all about any drivers it's nothing but a bunch of dumbass cars running around in a circle. unless you're into wrecks, then talledega can be pretty gripping.

I am and remain a bigger fan of the science and technology of NASCAR, but I do have a favorite driver and two, now three that I loathe.

When NFL players call drivers athletes then I take it to heart.
