I don't think he's changing his number, he won the rookie of the year wearing #1.... also I noticed over the weekend at the Super Bowl NFL Fan Experience he was signing his autographs "Cam Newton, #1, War Eagle!"

If he was gonna jump from 1 to #2 he wouldn't be signing it I don't think.
