I'm thinking they went to Mount Pleasant High which is how I met them....through some college friends from the same High School.

They would come over and hang out at some of our apartments when they were up in Raleigh playing at the Brewery and other places. I think I tried to get them to pay for a cup at one of our keg parties. (I was told I did) But that doesn't sound like me at all

I just looked at that also, but if you look on the right of the page it says they originated in Concord. Trust me it needs to be cleared up....I have been to a pig pickin or two where knives were drawn and swine was thrown all over the place after an Avett Bros. argument insued. I need answers. Civil War may break out one day. That's why I had to move out of that town. I was scared and it's all because of the Avett Brothers.

Think I got it now...born in Concord, went to Mt. Pleasant High where they met and formed the group. That's not going to help settle things or stop the war but I think I get it now.

They did. Sometimes they'll drop in from time to time for homecoming but since they're growing in popularity their visits are few and far-between.

The town Parks and Rec. once pitched the idea of a concert in the MPHS football stadium for the town's Independence Day celebration, but it was rejected since the manager felt they had outgrown such gigs, among other things.

I'm not really a fan of the music, but I think it's awesome that someone from my tiny, rural town has made it to the "big-time."

I have some friends in a band called fusebox poet they've done decent in the Charlotte area they were able to open up for Everclear during speed street. They was also a band call paper tounges that was really, really good.

I think The Avett Bros. are some of the better lyricists out there. I've seen them a few times and they put on a hell of a show.
