Classy wife you have there, Tom Brady

Oh, teammates care about stuff that gets said. They just don't always acknowledge it.

There are reasons why TO isn't a Cowboy anymore, why Tiki isn't a Giant, and I'm still of the belief that the whole "yeah, I'll talk to him" thing is one of the factors that sent Peppers packing from Charlotte.

How do you know?

Barber retired. Peppers left because he wanted to.

If you think a wife making a comment like that is inappropriate, just wait until teammates start calling out each others wives

It really is a non issue

Maybe. Brady's largely untouchable in the organization, so I doubt he'll suffer much. Not a good thing for team chemistry though.

And this kind of stuff has a decent shelf life among fans and media. Next season, you'll likely hear Giselle Bundchen jokes made anytime someone drops a big pass.

How would you feel if you heard a co-worker was running you down?

Barber just recently tried to get back in good graces with Coughlin and the Giants (and got the door slammed in his face). Just last night on ESPN, they were quoting some of his comments slamming Eli.

Heck, there have even been rumors that people within the Panthers organization got really tired of dealing with a certain former coach's wife making scenes in their building. And Lord knows that while he was a good coach, nobody who worked with Scott O'Brien during his time here wants him back.

These guys are human.

It happens on a daily basis in every work place in this country. Professionals deal with it professionally.

Barber retired, him trying to come back at this age really isn't a comparable situation regardless of what he said after he retired.

You are straying pretty far from the situation at hand.

These situations only have life because the media inflates them and people with a flair for the dramatic eat it up and try to propagate it.

Not really. Just pointing out that these guys are human, and tend to have huge egos. Infighting happens, and often for pretty stupid reasons.

Will this have any real effecT on the Patriots? No idea.

Could be a lot of fun to watch, though

As others have said she was sticking up for her husband who she knows people dislike.

It only got press because she is a model. Brady won't get flack for it I suspect because he didn't say it.

One of the problems is that people think that because someone is beautiful and rich because of their body, they are intelligent and classy as well. Models and stars range from Sharon Stone who is brilliant (yes that is true) to folks like Giselle who it doesn't appear even graduated from high school. Sure if you were worth 250 million would it matter? I guess only if you open up your mouth.

Valid points, but I think it's more because she's Mrs Brady than her being a model. Nobody ever heard of Brenda Warner before her public comments, and that story hung around a while.

Kinda wonder if the Pats and/or her hubby will nudge her to apologize/back off.

I'll grant that pass was catchable, but it was far from perfect, especially given how open Welker was. Definitely not an easy catch.

it's just more outstanding evidence that football games are won and loss on a handful of plays. that drop and the manningham catch were the deciding plays of the game.
