Classy wife you have there, Tom Brady

I wouldnt say that she is right at all.

Football is a team sport. The loss could have been prevented any number of different ways. The D could have allowed less points, the special teams could have blocked the field goals, etc.

She said the receivers should haven't dropped balls. I'm talking about that, she left a lot open to interpretation (as far as it being all their fault and not Brady's), but she didn't say it.

Brady is gonna be the one to have to deal with her outburst, not her.

Eh I'd address it once (if that) and move on. "She was emotional, she saw how hard this team worked to get to the Super Bowl and being heckled by Giants fans made her emotions get the better of her. She knows these guys and how hard they play day in day out and wouldn't ever mean to purposely disrespect them." End of Story until training camp when there will be something new to talk about.

I know its different because she is so close to the team, but she is a diehard fan.

I'm pretty sure anyone of us would've said the same if not worse had it been the Panthers in the SB and Smith/Olsen had key drops on a would be game winning drive.

Just my .02

Just for future reference I love the guy but if we've got 40 seconds left to drive down field to win the Super Bowl I don't want Olsen doing anything other than blocking.

ugh...another mountain out of a molehill. i swear there are some drama queens in here.

she was getting harassed for being married to tom brady by douche fans yelling “Eli rules, Eli owns your husband.” what is she supposed to do or say? "oh, he and the team gave a valiant effort. they gave it all they had but that's the way it goes! have a good night and thanks for watching!"

meh...it's an emotional evening and she was getting harassed no one is going to be catching any flack for it nor should they.

i guess if you love drama, though..."stay tuned!"

The last sentence is the thing here.

Regardless of whether or not she was right (and I think you can't rightly absolve Brady of all blame) this is the kind of thing that sports media can pick up and gleefully run with.

If I'm a Boston sportswriter - or even a national commentator like Rome, Cowherd or Bayless - right now I'm like a kid on Christmas morning.

And whether they say so publicly or not, his teammates will make note of this. How much resentment it causes depends on the individual, but I doubt it'll just be forgotten. Brenda Warner's comments certainly got plenty of play.
