How ironic is it...

I was not anti Pats or Brady.

I was for the Giants because of the underdog thing. Bet many were like me.

The line was only Patriots by 3. Not sure how much of an underdog they were since they beat the Patriots earlier in the year. The expert picks seems pretty evenly split.

The Giants have their jackholes too (Corey Webster, for one)

What makes people dislike the Pats more is they're constantly hyped in the media. People get tired of it.

Also the fact that they cheated for several season with little to no punishment also helps fuel the fire. No one likes a cheater.

Maybe.

I'm just happy I don't have to spend the next several months listening to people fawning over Brady and Belichick.

On a related note, that first play (the safety) will give me something to smile about for some time :D

Instead, you're going have to listen to years of Eli love and the comparisons that come with it.

Dilfer just pointed out that in their last two SBs, they've not completed a single pass where the ball was in the air more than 20 yards.

Brady's deep ball apparently isn't what it once was.

THIS.

It's why I always downgrade Brady off the top spot when talking about the best QB's in the league.

The only time he has been a down field thrower is when he had Moss, and IMO, that was more Moss than Brady.

Who is the deep threat on the Patriots that Brady is supposed to throw to and why would he bother going deep when he has Gronk and Hernandez? This year he had his highest yds per game avg and yards per attempt in his career without throwing the ball deep. He doesn't have Randy Moss or a young Deion Branch like he did years ago. He has nothing to work with as far as a deep threat.

I'll give you that.

Still, his decision on that long pass was terrible. Some of the throws he made against the Ravens were even worse. Even the ones that weren't picked weren't exactly on target. A lot of Pats fans are now saying they hold their breath every time he throws a long one.

Other teams don't fear him so much anymore. And that, as much as anything, could have a dramatic impact on their future.

Brady's just not what he once was.

(but hey, who among us is)
