Um what if we let James Anderson play WLB? Then draft a versatile linebacker who could play middle or strong. Guy i like is Jerry Franklin of Arkansas. Originally recruited as a defensive back moved to linebacker and has been a starter at several positions. Jerry is a tackling machine with a nose for the ball and showed he can hurry and disrupt the opposing offense. Also he is under the radar enough that we can get him late. Opening up our first 2 picks to positions other than LB.

After thinking about it he's not that small especially for the weakside.

No doubt about it. Which means we need to improve our front four, because blitzing a lot against qb's like Brees is just as dangerous as trying to max cover. Got to be able to get to the quarterback with only 4-5 rushers.

There are some solid LB on the FA market that we could sign for pretty cheap.

Two guys I like are Rocky McIntosh or Tavares Gooden. Both teammates of Beason at the U. Both can backup at either OLB or MLB.

Id also draft an OLB in the late rounds like people are talking about. Another guy I like is Danny Trevathan LB from Kentucky.
