Predict a Draft Day Trade

Thought I'd change it up a bit midst all of these Brockers & Mock Draft threads

Me:

Skins trade up to the 2nd spot to get RG3. Shanahan and Fisher have a good history and methinks Washinton feels there just a QB & WR away from something above mediocre for the first time in years.

:hat:

Patriots trade UP. Yeah, you heard it here first!

But seriously, I don't care who we trade with, I just want us to trade down into the 14th-17th range and pick up a 2nd or 3rd. The group of players (unless someone falls) isn't that different from 8-16 IMO and we could choose from multiple guys to fill a hole whether it be CB, OL, DL, OLB, etc.

If I look at teams that might be desperate enough to trade up, I look at teams where a coach has already been there a couple of seasons and it is not moving quite quick enough for them to get the next contract. Atlanta was that team last year who moved to get that "missing" pc.

This year, I would not necessarily pick the Skins. Shanahan might even trade down to get Tannehill who might fit better the offense he wants to run.

AZ would be a team I would pick for a move. Their move might be to go get Manning in FA, but moving up for an OT would be my guess at this point. Jets (as I mentioned in my mock) might be the other team wanting to get one of the top two OT's. They would need to generate a bit of buzz with their fan base and doing this to "help" Sanchez would be generally accepted by the fanbase.

Those are my two best bets.

if we get 8th pick we trade with pats.

8th overall is worth 1400 points

pats give us their 27th (680 points), 31st (600 points), and the 31st pick in the 3rd round (120 points).

for the mathematically challenged or calculator deprived, 680+600+120 = 1400.

they draft a well needed top end pass rusher or WR and they get to jump ahead of a division rival.

sound good?

i'll start making calls, ok?
