Stirs Pre Combine Draft(the wait is over)

Most trade downs have no scenarios listed, not here.

With the 8th pick, the Panthers trade with their old trading partner, the NY Jets.

The Jets need for RT is huge and so it is for their in division rivals, the Dolphins.

The Jets move up to take Rieff.

The Jets trade up to 8 and get the Panthers 6th rounder. The Panthers get the 16th pick and the 47th in the second round.

1st Brockers DT LSU- Panthers feel better about taking Brockers here than at 8 position and add another guy in the rotation for the coming season.

With Edwards returning, the rotation should be much improved.

2nd Leonard Johnson CB Iowa St--probably end up as the third best CB after the combine.

2nd Kelechi Osemele OT Iowa St--Big, good athlete, can play RT or move inside and play G. The versatility and athleticism are just what we need.

4th Aaron Henry S Wisconsin--Good size, great against the run, can fill in nicely if one of our guys go down or just suck outright.

5th DeAngelo Peterson TE LSU At 237 lbs, he will give Chud a new wrinkle at the TE position. With Shockey most likely not returning, there will be a need for a guy like this to open a whole new set of plays at the position.

7th Tyler Nielson OLB Iowa Backup with good size and great speed who will learn our attacking defense and be able to fill in nicely also if needed.

interesting trade scenario. i could actually see that one happening. ThumbsUp.jpg for originality.

interesting CB pick. don't know a whole lot about that guy. will look, though.

i like osemele there. not sure if he'd slide that far but i won't argue that.

the TE pick is a head scratcher, but it's a 5th round pick so...i'd just rather us use those late rounders on STs guys. not a big deal, though.

decent mock.

Leonard looked really good at the senior bowl and moved his stock up a bit while he was there.

With Dennard dropping into the second and Kirkpatrick possibly moving to Safety, according to Mayock, Leonards stock is indeed moving up.

Also is a great punt returner

    • He might not be able to tie his shoes standing up like a freak NBA player, but he looks long on the field.
    • Ugh, I didn't even realize until today that they only versions they have for T-Mac right now are the ones where everything is heat pressed on, not the "fake stitched" versions you guys are talking about here. I've always hated those fully screen pressed ones, they just seem cheat and crappy to me, and even though that next step up is still not the best, they at least feel like more of a real jersey to me and is worth the extra 35 bucks to get them. But of course they don't sell them in that one yet, which is weird, if they're all still "pre-orders" anyways, why aren't they offering the more expensive version to steal even more money from the rubes out there like myself who just can't help themselves?!?!?
    • If you think Smith's hating on McMillian or tall recievers you didn't watch the video. He may have been guilty of that in the past but he says outright that his problem is people see a tall reciever and tend to overlook everything else about him. He was complimentary and believes the guy will pan out. His only real criticism was comparing Tetairoa to himself actually, saying like he felt like he took plays off when he wasn't the primary target.  EDIT: The AJ Green comp they made is way better than Evans. Small finesse reciever in a tall frame.
