We destroyed the Giants in the 05 Playoffs

they also managed to get into the playoffs the next year, and the year after that, and the year after that....consistency.

if we can get into the playoffs again, i'm fine with him staying. hopefully the change in DC is what we need.

Here's my impression of Trgovac...

"Durrrrr... whose that Fitzgerald character... should I put someone on him? ... Nahh... we need to focus on Edgerrin James... I heard on ESPN he had 73 whole yards against Atlanta .... "

:frown2:

You forgot to add your Fox impression though: "Wait...I'm allowed to tell my coach what to do or try? Really?"

LOL Yeah, I'm pretty sure some sh-- went down at halftime of that game.

Fox "OK guys we're doing things my way now"

Trgo "But.. but... that's the best defensive scheme evah!"

Fox "Dude STFU"

Trgo "For serious! I been dominating on Madden with it!"

what a superficial parallel at best.

They had a young talented QB who was only gonna get better over time. We don't.

They had an up and coming defensive line that was only going to be built better over the next few years. Jury's still out and I'd like to see us get 4 deep at DE like they did. And I'm talking 10-sack guys here, guys who wouldn't need to split time on another team.

Most importantly, they had a critical trait we don't. Accountability. The Giants powerwashed the defense after the Philly game in '06. Tim Lewis=gone. Something we ourselves weren't up to the task of doing, that in our case our assistants left on their own accord.

Yeah, sign me up for that one too.

I hope you're not referring to Trgovac here because he did NOT leave on his own.

    • Bryce put it in a spot only his guy could get it only for David Moore to drop it. T_T Tremble and Horn both struggled yesterday and that killed me since they're two of my favourite players. Tommy knows he has to come down with this one. Folks were understandably saying that JT would've caught that had he not gotten hurt a few plays earlier. The more I look at this play, the more I think that Bryce made the right decision throwing it out the back of the endzone. He could have tried to laser it in to Thielen, but that safety is lurking awfully close inside. Insuring the field goal here after a 44sec drive to end the half was the right move.
    • Except Bryce was the main reason we were in it
    • NFL Pro has the All-22 up already 😄 Going to grab a play or two from each redzone series to put screenshots to. Looks like AT angled his route off to the near pylon rather than the back corner where Bryce was throwing to. I imagine this is something they'll quickly try to figure out with Thielen back from IR. After watching the All-22 again, this was actually a pretty nifty play. I thought it was a TE screen to Tremble because of the way XL charged the DB, but he quickly shed and kept upfield as seen in the second screenshot. This looks like it had multiple layers built into it with AT running the crosser, XL the fade, Tremble to the flat. The progression would call for the play to go to Chuba here as the LB does follow Tremble out into the flat. Ball hits Chuba low and in the hands, but the LB does a good job disrupting the catch.
