What we should do

If the Cats can get #1 and they can trade it for 2 top 10 picks...that's a win. If everyone comes out that's expected to then it'll be a deep draft.

@tweetingclip I'm told by a veteran scout (not with Bobcats) that Kentucky's Anthony Davis figures to be consensus No. 1 pick.

I would agree if it were a 3 or worse pick but if we pass up on Anthony Davis or Drummond we will regret it.

I remember when we had two lottery picks in our second year, remember that? We had 5 and 13. That was awesome.

Yeah the infamous refusal to trade and get CP3. FU Bickerstaff.

I just don't see Anthony Davis as being head and shoulders better than Drummond, Barnes, Sullinger, Jones/Miller, etc... Each has flaws in their game.

Davis defensively is on a level of his own.

Yep, but he has no offense, other than throwing down a lob pass. He is also on the skinny side of being a great defensive player in the NBA. Right now he looks like a Marcus Camby clone.

Barnes can't dribble

Sullinger has a centers game but a small pf body

Drummond has the size but hasn't dominated in college.

There are big holes in all their games.

His offensive game leaves a bit to be desired. He hasn't developed a mid range shot quite yet, something he will need to do. A lot of his scoring comes from dunks.

davis was 6ft 3 a year and a half ago and a 4 star guard... so to say he has no mid range shot is a bit short sighted, he just hasnt been asked to do it this year... and now he is 6 11... he is only at the door step of what he will be... on both sides of the ball which is scary...

That's the same thing that happened with John Henson. He grew very quickly and was supposed to be a good shooter playing sf. That hadn't happened but he has become a good inside player and he has developed greatly from when he was a freshman. I think such drastic long bone growth has to alter your jumper.

I bet MKG will end up the best pro on that UK team.

Didn't see he had no midrange shot, just said it needs work.

davis is gonna give us a couple blocks, cool! maybe we will score 75 now. Dude will be a good player in the NBA especially due to his length, but for us with the #1 pick? Dont think so. Kentuckys schedule has been a JOKE so far especially in the SEC. Would like to see him play against a good team and score 20/6 blocks. He didnt do much vs Kansas/UNC and those are the only good teams theyve played.
