Cam On Cowherd Thursday

thought he came off extremely arrogant on the DP show. Actually refereed to himself as an "elite" QB. A better word would have been average.

also

he should consider taking a fourth grade grammar class. His English skills are worst than most illegal immigrants.

it must suck to have Matt Ryan as your franchise QB. Really, watching guys like you do this is kinda sad. Funny too....but still mostly sad.

Cam is 22 and thrust in front of cameras. Most of his grammar stuff is strictly nerves.....

Quick Summary of what I can remember for those that could not listen :

- Panthers would not let Cam do national interviews (at least on Cowherd's show) until after the season was over.

- Put on a bit of weight this year. Up to 263. Too many munchies in the film room.

- Said he noticed the game slowing down for him as the year went on.

- Cam explained that he couldn't recall the name of the play when he did the Gruden QB interview because so many teams had thrown playbooks at him prior to doing that and he just put all the Auburn plays out of his mind.

- He is glad Chud is coming back because this is the first time he is going back to a system he had the previous year. Up until this point he was changing systems every year and has had to learn 5 offenses.

- Cam loves Drew Brees and his accuracy.

- Cowherd said he sees Cam as a Big Ben type player and asked how he viewed himself. Cam said he doesn't want to be compared to anyone and wants to create his own image as a QB. Said in highschool his nickname was "The Dinosaur" because his talents were so rare.

- Asked if he will still have the running ability he has now in 10 years. Cam didn't hesitate and said absolutely because he will get down when there is no more yards to get. (or something like that)

- Thinks the Giants will win the Superbowl because of their ability to get to the QB which disrupts the offense (obviously) but was quick to point out that it is Tom Brady back there so who knows.

There were a few other things so feel free to add or correct anything I may have heard wrong.

Another very good interview by Cam where he came off as very likeable. Guy definitely has the "It" factor and will be a king in this league for years to come as long as he keeps heading in this direction. You guys (Panther fans) are lucky to have him for sure.

Now excuse me while I go back to work....

wonder how slow things were when he was choking away both Falcons games.

easy to have the game slow down when you "manage games" like Matt Ryan isn't it?

Rely on running game, sit on the lead, hope your defense makes plays instead of going out and winning anything.

You'll still be searching for a QB who can really go out and take a team on his back in a few years and we'll have newton. Facts.
