Your allowed to say something against the Panthers. If you can verbally insult someone, insulting the Panthers is nowhere as bad. And yea its all good, even with what you just said... that doesnt change the fact that you guys aren't #1 in any system in the NFL. Fine with me.

Him a pest? Dude, you have something negative to say about the Panthers in EVERY thread. And the Bucs are invincible. It took you 26 years to win a Super Bowl, yet somehow when we don't win won in our first 13 we are still worse. You criticize everyone for not knowing anything about football in EVERY thread. You whine about people whining in EVERY thread. GO AWAY.

ignore is your friend. Trust me

cowher had 3 seasons below .500 out of 15.

fox has had 3 out of 7

cowher had his team go into the playoffs in all but 5 years out of 15.

fox has had his team go to the playoffs in all but 4 of his 7.

cowher had his team win the division championship in 9 of his 15 years (60%)

fox has had his team win the division championship in 3 out of 7 (43%)

cowher had his team go back to back with seasons >.500 8 times.

fox has not had back to back >.500 seasons.

one of these guys i would have a bit more patience with. i'm not saying we need to be showing him the door yet, but we should be keeping an eye on it. if fox can get us back to back winning seasons...i'm open to the idea of him staying. if not....i'm ready to find someone who can.

btw....i don't know if you have noticed this but there actually is a ton of coaching turnover. this year we will have 15 coaches who have been HC teams for less than 2 years. 2 of those 15 have had HC jobs before.

Todd Haley

Rex Ryan

Steve Spagnuolo

Raheem Morris

Jim Schwartz

Eric Mangini

Josh McDaniels

Jim Caldwell

Jim Mora

Jim Zorn

Tony Sparano

Mike Smith

Mike Singletary

John Harbaugh

Tom Cable

there will be 17 with 3 or less years as HCs if you add in tomlin and wisenhunt. 21 with 4 or less years (payton, mccarthy, kubiak, childress) as their teams HC.

the message is clear from most teams...if you can't get us where we want to go and keep us legit contenders, we'll try and get someone who can.

All of those facts are irrelevant if the goal is superbowls as people constantly conclude. Keep in mind one thing about Cowher. he didn't inherit a 1-15 team. Pittsburgh had a winning culture and attitude long before Cowher got there. Fox is the guy who built it here. the next coach of the Panthers will have a much easier time than Fox did the same as Cowher did.

I like Cowher and think he was a good coach btw. Still he is not neccesarily the answer to our problems. Nor is Fox unless he can win consistently. Truth is that winning is all that matters in the NFL

I agree but you can't automatically put the blame on the HC. For the most part, our mediocre seasons have been due to injury. Sure, Fox has made some mistakes and is far from perfect but overall he's a good HC and hasn't gotten enough credit for what he's done.

He still has a job, what more credit do you want him to get?

Have him coach a pro bowl?

LOL Fox in the pro bowl

According to a lot of the people here he doesn't even deserve his job though. All I'm saying is that he's been a good coach for us and doesn't deserve all the hate he gets.

I don't think it's hate as much as it is approaching the need for a change.

This will be his 8th year, and of course we don't know the results yet, but how long do you give him?

Till his contract is up?, 10 total years?

It would be SOOO different if we actually had winning consistency, but the FACT is that we don't.

Every other year is not consistency.

Oh yea and we have changed or will now have changed just about every other coaching position on the team except him.

I think the inconsistency has mainly been due to injuries. We went through 4 QBs in '07 and still finished 7-9. That's about the best you can hope for in that spot. Same with '04 with all the RBs out as well as other key positions.

If I thought Fox was the problem here I'd be ready to get someone else, but I don't think that's the case. I've seen too many teams in the league overreact after a bad year that really wasn't the coaches fault. Fire the guy, hire someone worse and suffer for it for years.

At the same time, I'm not some blind Fox lover by any stretch. Even he does a good job, if we see a chance for an upgrade (Cohwer) I say, hit the road Foxie :D

I guess winning 12 games is nothing huh?

winning 12 games is great and you won't hear me disparage that. winning consistently is what i want. follow this past year up with at the very least a winning year and i'm open to him staying though that isn't ideal. he needs more than that.

most likely the bar is going to be set high. he needs to go deep into the playoffs or he most likely won't be here to see another year. he has had plenty of time. after this year we will know what he is capable of in carolina or where his ceiling is here.

he has the talent on the team and i think he's smart enough to pull it off but will he or can he? that's the big question. he has one more year on his contract to see if he can do it.

12-4 is great.....but not as good as having a winning team more than one year in a row. get it done or get someone who can. it's on his shoulders. i think he can do it but he shouldn't have a job just for that reason. he needs to get consistent results.

i'm not saying cowher is the answer. i through that up there because someone mentioned him and made the remark that it took him 12 years. my statement was he was winning throughout his tenure and had been able to pull together quite a few winning seasons together which was more of a reason to wait and see and isn't something that fox has really done.

i'm also not saying that fox isn't the answer. i am saying that he has one more shot. he did great with a 1-15 team but it's time that we moved past that. he dug us out of the hole but he may not be the one to take us all the way to the top. i want a winning culture here and i want someone who can deliver it. we don't have that and so far we haven't had that.

we have a culture that is on a roller coaster and i think many are getting a bit motion sick. it's time we went to the top and stayed. i don't care who that is that gets us there. i just want it done and i don't want someone here who isn't going to get us there. if fox is that coach, great. if not, get someone who can.
