If you were GM and had someone who could be the GQBOAT....

if the best player available is an OT, no issues with it.

yeah I realize a lot of people here are screaming for defense(and I see the reasoning), but good teams don't reach on needs. defensive tackle is and has been a need for the past several years, no arguments here.. but I don't see any interior linemen being worth the #8 pick. I could be wrong though, like when I thought no QB was worth the #1 pick last year lololololololol.

I think you, me and a few others are playing that tune to a largely hostile audience.

Will depend a lot on what happens in free agency, of course.

I also feel like this is the way we go. I would like either of the 2 tackles at 8/9or if for some reason wants to trade up for someone else, moving back and getting one of them further back, or Decastro... We'll see.

I don't get why people think addressing the O-Line (or the receiver spot, for that matter) somehow prevents us from addressing the defense as well.

Discussing what the priorities are and how you address each one (free agency vs draft) is one thing, but it's not like we can't do both.

to be fair, it is hard for many to see why the OL should be addressed w/ the top draft picks when there are so many defensive needs.

OL still consists of multiple Pro Bowlers and the right side should be healthy again next year which means better depth.

Carolina's offense was good enough last year to make the playoffs.......D needs to catch up. Insert a recovered Beason isn't going to do it.

Wouldn't your first offseason priority be protecting him on the field?

It would mine.

I see us going OL early and often.

Thank you, but how dare you use common sense! We are going defense. We are set on offense, with our 32 year old LT, overpaid/average LG, Question mark at RG, and our RT who averages 4 games per season. Cam is totally safe. How dare you suggest that we keep Cam healthy because he is our only chance to win, even after Cameron Jordan looked like Reggie White in week 17 and nearly killed Cam repeatedly. Our defense was bad, so we must focus every resource on the defense, even though three starters were on IR and 50% of the front 4 players were rookies. Silly Zod. You don't seem to understand football if you think protecting your all pro, franchise QB should be prioritized--I mean, we drafted Zack Williams and Lee Ziemba last year! Who needs a top offensive line? The Saints win and their line sucks--I mean, 2 of them did not even start in the pro bowl!! Scrubs.

who is saying we can't? i think you are reading it that way, but that's not what is being said.

it's just that the consensus is that the defense is a more urgent matter than OL or WR so it should take priority over them.

if someone like kalil or blackmon falls to our spot i seriously doubt that people would argue against grabbing them up.

most people want to improve OL & WR, but feel like we have enough options later to address them adequately...esp WR.
