Cam's got nothing to be ashamed of. He made the probowl as a rookie. He was playing against the best of best(supposedly) as a rookie in a made from scratch week old game plan. He was going to make mistakes, he does not have the experience of Rodgers or Brees. He was sailing the ball because he was nervous. You really think Brees or Rodgers would have lit it up as a rookie in the probowl?

What I love is that Mike Mayock kinda is beating his chest every time Cam does have an awful overthrow...

cam looked like a guy coming in wanting to have fun like the QBs in the first Quarter...but the AFC got pissed with the onsides kick and fake punt.

Honestly, Mike Mayock is a tool. I swear I don't care what footbal game I'm watching, the man has to always come off like he's done more homework on every player on the field than any of the other announcers. And sadly, he comes off sounding more like the over-achieving kid who never made it as a QB and is over compensating for it by acting like he knows everything. I tried to watch the Seniorbowl yesterday and I had to mute the entire game.

Also, u must remember Mike Mayock was Blaine Gabbert's biggest cheerleader. He scrutinized every QB's game during the draft and went in extra hard on Cam. So surprise that Cam was the only QB whose game he kept an eye on and was openingly criticizing.

really if you genuinely feel that how poorly cam newton played is any kind of validation for your feelings about his quality as a quarterback then you're just a retard. i mean there are no two ways about it: you are stupid as hell.

Be honest. If Drew Brees had gone 9/27 (33%) for 193 yards with 3 INTs in a probowl game, we'd all be laughing a little. We deserve to get trolled some.

Maybe... But if Cam had gone 26/27, 300 yards, 3 TDs, do you doubt we'd have a plethora of "its just the pro bowl" posts?

What were u expecting, 5 tds and a him playing the WR position like in practice?

I sometimes don't know which is is worst; those who sit and pick apart every move Cam makes or those who get all excited over everything he does and start expecting every game to be a spectacular, and eye-popping game.

Cam looked like he was having fun. Which one would u have preferred, a play it safe Cam, where he was dinking and dunking like Dalton or a Cam who was throwing the ball up and taking a chance. The Pro-Bowl is about going for it.

The game started to wear on my nerves as soon as I realized that Mike Mayock was going to treat Cam as if he was still in the draft. Now that got on my mother fugging nerves. Outside of that, the game was the usual Pro-bowl game, IMO.
