Overall, it's a decent logo, but aspects of it annoy me - mainly the lack of a white line. I can see why Nike or whoever designed this wanted to make it look all shadowy - but now it looks different from every other logo in the league. On a white background it looks cool - but it looks pretty bad on black and blue and when the logo is shrinked down it looks just awful. There is a version of the logo in the pdf release that has a black line around it. That would look pretty good with a white line around it. Overall - the font is an improvement, but not necessarily good. It's better than the old one and its easier to read.

Yeah I went back and checked the release after I wrote that post - it was the NFL. It's like they got caught up in the "minimalist" craze that is sweeping the internet and designed the logo with that in mind.

As long as there are some minor upgrades to the jersey - (I'm talking something as simple as silver pants on the home-white uniform) I'm ok with this change - but the lack of that white line worries me. I feel like this logo is going to look like poop when matched up against other logos or painted on the field.

The font need work but thats an easier fix. I guess I have to see it more and give it time. It looks ok on the Panthers new facebook image.

What's bothering me is that the whiskers on the right side of the logo are coming out of the wrong place.

It looks fine in this picture:

But the final version looks a bit "off" here:

Look at the whiskers on the right. They are different colors and originating in different places in each logo.

Pretty sure that was just for the glove. Blue whiskers wouldn't sit well on those gloves and the curving is due to the curves of the hands.

Ehhh. Maybe. It's just kinda hard to see since the blue whiskers blend in with the blue outline.
