Yes, he has had some things in his past that would make you question his character. But so does at least 50% of the guys in the NFL. Including our beloved Cam. He is young and stuff just happens.

Besides I have heard that he has gotten his life turned around is doing volunteer/charity work and just got going in a much better direction. I think we have the leaders on our team to keep him in check.

I would without a doubt take him over Dre Kirkpratick and maybe even over Morris Claiborne.

Meh, this draft is deep at CB.

Would you want a DT, Brockers who is coming off his first year and has potential, or Jenkins who has shown his skill against Jones/Green/Jeffery?

Listening to this stuff, I can see him at 8/9. Both he and Kirkpatrick have been caught with weed.

I'd rather have Dre Kirkpatrick honestly... He has the size and speed.

Especially if they both have "character" issues.

i don't know if kirkpatrick is faster, but it's no question that he is bigger. the only problem is, tha isn't really the factor that people make it out to be. people worry about jenkins having to face big receivers like julio jones twice a year and aj green and alshon jeffery but he's already shown that he can cover them and lock them down.

size might be an issue for some, but for the good ones it isn't. QBs won't be throwing to them because they are getting no room. the moments that QBs would take the risk of trying to place it high so that only their WR could get it are miniscule. it might be a mismatch in the end zone, but good cover guys, regardless of how short they are, will help keep offenses from getting down that far.

i want brockers more, but i'd honestly be happy with either.

A top tier CB answers two needs for me. We need another DB to play with Gamble and we need to bring one in that will challenge him. I think he is getting bored as the perennial number one. Gamble has real talent and gas in the tank. Constantly acquiring underlings is not exactly the thing tat motivates a guy entering the second half of his career.

I wish Jenkins were 1 or 2" taller, but he gets the job done at his current height. I'd love to trade down and roll the dice.. I think we can still get Jenkins or Brockers trading down a few spots to pick up a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

I'd prefer DT first, then CB second. Fortunately if we miss out on a great corner, there's another great one behind him. DTs not so much. Personally I believe DT is a slightly bigger need.

    • That would be a great pick, he might be my favorite for us right now.
    • The coach- Canales was a rookie hc and at times looked like it. But he did manage to revamp the offense, helped Bryce not look like the biggest bust of the draft, exuded positivity,  and made the panthers watchable again. We have a viable head coach for the first time since rivera The gm- Morgan had some hits and some big misses. Hits- the ol, Coker, demani, dj at first. Misses- almost every d player signed, brooks, the jury is out on x. I get what he was trying to do with brooks/Hubbard but it blew up in his face. Hopefully he learns from his mistakes. But he did trade mingo for a 4th, managed to get a 2nd rounder this year from the Rams and I am a fan of constantly churning the bottom of the roster The draft- x can be a solid player but not until he catches the ball, brooks was a high risk pick that didn't work out, Wallace, demani and Chau Smith can be solid contributors and showed glimpses, Coker and jt should be mainstays. And flipping a 7th round lb that was about to be cut for Jackson was a great move.  The offense- had its ups and downs but Bryce has turned from one of the biggest busts in nfl history to a potential franchise qb, that change is worth its weight in gold, thielen was crafty and underrated as usual, Coker was a gem, jt was the solid but has some growing to do, and Hubbard has been awesome, the o line was much improved as well The defense- well...they set records, injuries, poor coaching (imo), bad playcalling and just plain sucking this defense needs everything to change, we need horn and Jackson back and we get brown back but we need bodies and an identity. If they can do with the def what they did with the o then we can challenge for the division bc we already have some pieces there.  Overall- this was a growth year full of questions and some of the major ones were answered(qb, coach). For the first time in a long time the season didn't end depressingly and I do have cautious optimism for next year. But they need to learn from the mistakes of 2024 and if they do I like where this team is headed. On to the draft and 2025
