Hayward is projected to be a 4th or 5th? Wow! I had him pegged to be a late 2nd at worst. Those of you who are at the senior bowl practices, how's my boy Robert Blanton doing?

Scouts are saying that Hayward is slow, and is purely a Cover 2 CB.. which pushes him down the board. They are comparing him to Kelvin Hayden.

Looks like we are taking a hard look at later round DT's to determine if we should take one in the 1st or if we can get a gem in a later round.

I've watched Malik Jackson at UT the last few years where he was an undersized DT. I honestly think he'd be best served as a 3-4 DE as he lacks the ideal explosiveness of a 4-3 DE. However, he's an extremely talented guy and he uses good technique. He was often double teamed as UT lacked any other legitimate D-linemen. Wouldn't mind drafting him one bit, but I'm a homer... :D

He is an amazing cover corner.. exactly the scheme we run. I see him being in the same mold as Brandon Flowers.. except less physical. Both VT guys. I would have no problems taking him in the 2nd round.

Quick looks like a faster Dwayne Jarrett, I'd take that combination of speed, size and hands any day.

Quick has great hands, but not elite speed. I think he is more of a small school version of Alshon. I would like to pick him up, but not in the second and I don't think he will last till the 4th.

Fyi, Quick has been awful at the Senior Bowl practices so far..

• Appalachian St. WR Brian Quick had another rough day, body catching nearly every pass today. Quick also had two drops very early in the session and alligator-armed some of the passes that were off the mark. Quick dropped his third pass of the day against Jamell Fleming and fell on another play to make it four. At this point it appears to be a situation where Quick’s head just isn’t right, displaying bad body language both on and off the field.

Personally, I wouldn't touch the kid. I don't like taking star players from FCS schools because they don't face quality talent week in and week out like most that play in FBS conferences.
