Panthers want to know if Chudzinski is still a candidate for Bucs job

That is why we shouldnt have granted them permission to start with.

It is ok for coaches to want a promotion, and a franchise shouldnt stand in the way of that if they want to aquire the best talent, but that permission should only extend to teams that are not in our our division. Why would we want Chud to go to a division rival and give them our playbook?

There are 28 other teams that he could interview with.

Don't know how many times this must be said but you HAVE to grant permission for a HC interview. It is NFL rule.

The longer this draws out the more selfish Chud will look and if I were the Bucks why not!? Why not leave your mole in the competitions house for as long as you want.

This is a big problem. Gruden took his name out of the mix. That was honorable. Chud needs to end this if he cares about his team, IF this draws out.

he wants to be a HC some day. what's the problem with that?

he has an opportunity to reach that goal right now. can you seriously blame him or fault him for hanging in there?

it's not his fault the bucs are dragging their pathetic feet in this and i seriously doubt anyone is annoyed at him or that they will doubt his commitment to the team in 2012 if he doesn't get a HC job.

well, Chud's priority is to be an NFC HC. He isn't doing anything wrong.

The problem is that when your current employer is being strung along, you should have the common courtesy to either pull out of the race when it becomes obvious that a division rival is screwing around with your offseason plans or demand to know if you're still in consideration and make that information known to the team. Rivera having to come out to the media to expedite the issue is ridiculous and makes me think that I may not even want Chud back if he doesn't get the job. It's obvious that his loyalty is not with the Panthers despite the chance we provided him with last season.

i say we look too! at the end of the day Chud is looking so that alone says let the chips fall where they may. If a better option comes during our search, then we can speed the process up! He chose to possibly leave. That is not loyalty especially after the potential we have and the direction of the team. I like some of his calls but on a downside, he could have done better especially with the run game in many situations. Keep the playbook and keep it moving!

This is getting annoying. They clearly are just fuging around with him...bandying about names and not serious about assembling a coaching staff in a reasonable amount of time. Chud should just take his name out of the list...if the Bucs really want him, they'll come after him.

This waiting around is putting things on hold for the Panthers and I know Rivera doesn't like this. This also has the unfortunate chance of causing tensions between the coaching staff, and that's not a good thing.

Jay Gruden was a stronger candidate than Chud..and declined TWO interviews to extend with Cincy because he loves what he has in Dalton...not saying Chud is the same kind of guy, but you would think he'd stick with a guy like Cam.
