Shades of the Steelers of old...kinda. Hear me out

top dawg

Yesterday I was driving to the girl scout store. There was a woman on the sidewalk walking wearing a steelers jacket. I wanted to hit her with my car. Decided not to because I wouldn't have made it to the girl scout store before they close.

I don't get the hate for Steelers fans. A lot of people have been forced to move out of the Pittsburgh area because the jobs were drying up 10-20 years ago, and NC was a good choice at the time. On top of that, unlike the Pats and Cowboys fans, these guys were still out in force through bad times (aka Kordel Stewart era.... *shudder*). Sure you can say that they're sometimes annoying in bars but here's a hint, every fanbase who congregates in bars are annoying. This holier than thou attitude is incredibly disrespectful to those of us who grew up elsewhere and had to move here.

OK fine - when I see him dressed in steelers gear, I'll hit him with my car. My educated guess is that I won't see him dressed like that.

Nice straw man, considering the most Panthers gear I've ever seen him wear was a hat.

yes - I do. If I ever see a car with any type of steelers bumper sticker or plate or emblem, I swear to God I really do this - I tell my husband to hit the car. My kids laugh at me because every time I see them make any dumb move, I'll say it's because they are a steelers fan. My husband ticks me off because he never does...and we're always in my car. I'd gladly sacrifice it to hit a steelers fan.

(oh, and I don''t mind the team nearly as much as I dislike the fans)

lol So what do ya do when you see a falcons fan?

agree. on the list of most annoying fanbase, they are near the bottom. and they aren't just here, they are everywhere, which makes it look like they travel to a lot of away games. very football smart.

wish our fans were as loyal and smart.

falcon fans have to be the dumbest in general.

Steelers have "bandwagon" fans too...they are just from the 70s (like my mom) so they've had longer to percolate. A lot of fanbases are generated when the team starts succeeding. As long as they hang on through the bad, so what? I've been to Heinz field several times and it's a gorgeous stadium (minus the worst field in the league) and I've never had one issue with a Steelers fan being a jerk to me even when I had a Panthers shirt on.
