My Father didn't understand me, so he just didn't try. Plus, he was always off in meetings.

My Mom didn't always understand me, but at least she tried. I credit her with raising me.

Dear ol' Dad is now retired. He was an electrical engineer for Ma Bell for 35 years.

My dad worked at a paper mill for 30+ years but has been out on disability for about 8 years... he now does odd stuff around the area... fixes lawnmowers, bikes, etc. Has tractors and several large trailers so hauls stuff for people and bush hogs... just generally goofs. Me and him try to play golf once a week too... he can still hit the ball pretty well for an old geezer.

Both my parents are gone now but my dad was a stone, tile mason and very good at just about everything. He was the most knowledgeable man I ever knew. I always said if I knew just half of what he knew, I'd be a rich man.
