He'll be a good s-teamer if nothing else. Did you see that hit at 1:29, my god!! Let's not crown him yet though, he's graded as a late round pick by most sites. I want to see how he practices against better competition.

We would not consider him (barring a trade) before the fourth round, which is fine. As for analyzing his stats vs. competition, I can say that when you are that good on that level, opponents avoid you at all cost. He is a bit of a big hitter who will need to be reeled in, I would speculate. He does need to go against better competition. But the speed, leadership, and intensity seem solid. And where he is on boards etc. in Jan makes little difference. Match his skill set against a Lavonte David (2/3 rounder) or a Sean Spence. What are the differences? That is probably how the scouts will end up rating him.

I also compare highlight reels to glamour shots of your blind date. However, if we are going to build through the draft, we have to find gems that fit our system.

I have seen him rated as the 254th overall player (7th rounder) by CBS sports and National Football Post has him in the top 100. I imagine his real value will become more focused by March.

I do not have inside info into scout's assessments and comparisons to other players; team scouts fill needs and they have skill sets and profiles they target. Ex-scouts and reporters miss that point many times.

I can say I will watch him on draft day to see where he goes and when (or if).

I jotted down a mock a week ago or so. Had him going to us in the fourth.

Zero chance he is there in the fourth. At the rate he's climbing he may not be available in the second. Had a tremendous day. Singletary was in love with him. Constantly praising him, telling the other LBs to be more like him.

Davis started assisting the other LBs who were struggling, coaching them up, encourging them. Got down and started doing push ups after he made a

mistake. He's also one of the more

impressive physical specimens at the LB spot out there. Good height, thick body.

I was really impressed. Excited to talk about him tonight in my report. Had a lot of cool stuff happen to me today! Excited to share that with you guys as well.
