Coples at Senior Bowl

Having him with Johnson lining up on the other side makes me salivate at the mouth. Coples would give us a edge at the line of scrimmage and lets be real, this team doesnt dominate on either side and we need to establish that. I want a pass rush more than i want lockdown DBs. I know Coples got question marks, but watching the giants d line just makes me want this guy much more if he is motivated.

We don't have players that are capable of starting at DT, CB, LB and FS. We do have 2 players that are capable of starting at DE. Therefore, it would be a waste drafting a DE in the first round when we still need starters at the other 4 positions.

Giants already had Tuck and Osi when they took JPP even tho they got more production then we did out of ours. Worked out pretty well for them.

Also, there are many times, especially on passing situations that all 3 of them are in at the same time. I think it would be a good pick.

If people think Coples has a motor problem they are stupid. That is all.

Guess you're calling professional scouts stupid?

Coples had a somewhat pedestrian 2011 season given his talent and measurables, and plenty of scouts had questions about his motor and effort coming into Senior Bowl week.

Try again.

I'd have no problems with us going DE in the 1st and DT/FS in the 2nd. I look no further than the Giants to use as an example. They have an average group of linebackers at best, and a depleted secondary, yet they still get turnovers. Pass rush and turnovers make a defense, and the Giants put a ton of value into that D-line.
