Well Butch Davis said he has played OLB while at UNC.this guy is athletic and some are sailing him short for some reason and he has produced.if the FO choose to go in this direction I have no problems with it.

Link??

His own fanbase, coaches, and broadcasting crew sold him short.

No link,he was talking with Mayock,Davis at the senior bowl yesterday. I'm pretty sure he was speaking about a standing rush guy or zone blitz. His fanbase, coaches, and broadcast have not sold him short maybe some are split but not have sold him short.

North Carolina DE Quinton Coples, who entered the 2011 season as the top-rated senior prospect for the 2012 draft, was accused by UNC insiders of "playing not to get injured" for much of his final year. The entire UNC roster seemed to be efforting to avoid injury against Missouri in the Independence Bowl. Coples' conservative play may have resulted in slight production dip, going from 10 sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss as a junior to 15.0 and 7.5 as a senior, respectively. Coples' numbers jumped in the Tar Heels' final few games. According to SI.com draft analyst Tony Pauline, Coples "did not play with a sense of urgency" as a senior. He's still a likely top-15 pick. Lmao so his production slipped some.but a former UNC coach said that the program was a mess and that the players and assistant coaches were all affected by it. Lets mention how many times he was doubled or chipped by somebody.how bout the sacks that were nuilfied because of penaties.

Dude love him all you want I don't care. Like I said he has been ?ed about his motor and motivation. It doesn't get better when money is added to the situation.

Plus I saw him get handled by subpar ACC OLinemen.

He is more Ganies Adams (RIP) then Jason Peter Paul IMO.

You said he is not athletic but yet you compare him to two athletic DEs.

I never said he wasn't athletic. I said he wasn't Peppers or Mario williams level athletic.

Their is a differance.

example

Greg Jennings is a athletic WR.

Clavin Johnson is a Freak of nature WR.

Better Exp.

Lebron James while being the same size and weight of Karl Malone is faster can jump higher can bend his body in air in ways Karl couldn't dream of doing.

Get the Picture?

As for Coples not wanting to be drafted as a DT, here's his response.

"I don't really have a preference, to be honest with you," Coples said following his South Team's practice Tuesday. "I'm willing to play in the 3-4, 4-3 inside or outside. I've been practicing and working on improving so that I'll not only be the best defensive lineman in the draft but the most versatile.""I'm versatile. I can play from the zero [nose guard] to the nine [defensive end lining up outside of the tight end] and get after it.
