Cam Seen Clubbing w/ Rapper Common in Atlanta

He has to live his life... and he should... just hope he doesn't run into any trouble, the Atlanta club scene is full of opportunities to run into trouble.

I'm not saying he would cause any trouble, I'm saying trouble would find him (as it often finds famous people in clubs).

For an example, see what happened in Denver a few years back - Brandon Marshall was instigating but at the end of the day the guy who died reportedly had nothing to do with the altercation... you never know who you might encounter in these clubs (especially in the ATL).

Like I said, I don't expect Cam to hide in his house all day - nothing wrong with having fun and I'm sure he has the good sense to get himself out of a situation when things are getting sideways, but it still concerns me.

EDIT: And I say this as a guy who spent 8 years working as a bouncer at clubs in DC. We used to host Mike Tyson's birthday party each year and I was involved when Juan Howard and Brian Mitchell were thrown out of a club in DC many years ago.

My daughter plays travel softball with Juan Howard's daughter. Word.

How's that "working out until after the Superbowl" working out for ya????

Didn't he go to Cali when he was training for the Combine earlier this year? I believe one of his trainers live in Cali, so made he is still working out and simply took a break. Like drinking tons of water is hardly a sign of Cam not training..lol

Also, first thing that came to mind is, this is Pro-Bowl week. Could be on his way over to Hawaii but just made a pit stop.

Anyway, I'm sure many of you folks on this site would love to be in his shoes and drinking way more than water..:D

I have to SMDH at some of the postings on that site. I'm beginning to believe the word "thug" has simply replacing that other more famous word from the past in today's society.

Anyway, don't see anything about Cam that screams "a bad kid" or a "thug." But I guess it's due to the level of acceptable ignorance that is still controlling our society.

In honor of MLK Day last week:

I have a dream that one day Cam Newton will do something or say something, anything, that doesn't lead to a long thread on the Huddle.

Honestly, there are some people who folks just simply enjoy talking about and scrutinizing certain folks.

I'm also a lover of golf and I can visit the Golf Channel site and there will be 20 articles but I will bet you dollars to donuts that many of the articles on Tiger Woods would have anywhere from 20 or more postings. Even worst is when I'm reading the postings under other players' articles and the postings segway into a fullblown Tiger Woods debate.

Love them or hate them, folks will talk about them.
