Sure it does. Many 3-4 teams run a zone blitz and/or zone shell. When you blitz and use man under you leave guys uncovered and are crappy against the run because no one is watching the play, they are shadowing their man. Most aggressive defenses except the Jets use a zone scheme. That what the ravens used against the Patriots.

Meeks defenses never blitz much. I think this is a reason why he got let go, not on the same page with Rivera.
