Report/ Unconfirmed Rumor: Chip Kelly to Tampa???

Oregon has a great sports program with wealthy donors. Why would he want to leave?

With Darron Thomas, the Jr. QB who should have stayed and will most likely be a 5th round pick at best declaring and the Lache Seastrunk case, the writing could be on the wall that Oregon is about to get hit with some sanctions. Pete Carroll made the same move a few years ago.

Kelly has it made. Beautiful stadium, deep pocket donors, swagalicious uniforms (not a fan), huge fan base, unlimited recruiting ability, and left coast road schedule.

He is stupid if he leaves. He gets kids from all over the country and has the juice to go head to head with the most celebrated programs in college football for any kid he wants.

Haha wow. I hope he tries to run his spread O in the pros
This makes me happy because I don't think his stuff will work in the NFL. Reminds me of Spurrier to the Redskins.
ummm...spread offense has been used in the pros for several years and it's being used quite a bit by the best offenses in the league. it's working quite well.

in fact that's pretty much what we do. that's the offense that they eagles use w/ vick. that's what the saints do. it's what the pats do. it's what the packers did to win the superbowl last year.

i'm not thinking that he's going to come into tampa and pull a jim harbaugh in fact he will more than likely suck, but hiring a guy like kelly (considered to be a spread offense guru) shows that they are a bit forward thinking and that they can see the way the winds are blowing.

the conventional "pro-style" offense is on the way out. it's only a matter of time.
