I would think that is just common sense. The platform is for the use of camera crew and is unsafe, I'm sure the safe aspect could be used in the leap action but I can see the reason.

And the stands are for the stands to sit in, not for players to jump on. Goal posts are for field goals and XPs, they aren't basketball rims.

I can understand if you bring something out like a pen and sign the ball. Use a cellphone, or you know pull out an actual prop and do a premeditated celebration. ( I still think All celebrations should be legal.) But this call was bullshit.
