we had a pro bowl cailber CB in Gamble. if we would have thrown that money at Rodgers than that means we would have not signed somebody from our core. not taking away from his season because he did have a nice season, but look at his front 7. they would make a mediocore CB look a lot better than he may be is what im saying.

No point in arguing this all night, but...

1) While deserving, Gamble did not make the Pro Bowl. Rogers was voted in by the fans, his peers, and NFL coaches. So fair or unfair to Gamble, don't belittle what Rogers did.

2) $2 million for a CB the caliber of Rogers is nothing. It might have prevented us from bringing in Butler, but that's about it. There is no way that would have altered our ability to sign our own guys.
