Hinds sight is always 20/20.... or he could have tried to make a play down field like he did.... If he did and they caught the ball then everyone would be saying how amazing flacco was or the play calling...

In football the opposite of what happens is not always the right move like some would like to believe. It's always easier from the sideline when you ar not having to make split second decisions on a fast paced football field.

i know, being the QB you have to be able to make those decisions very fast. you think :cam: would have tried to force that ball or got the 1st down with his legs? Flacco was content with putting the game into the kicker hands and not trying to win it.

LOL... Flacco is not Cam... I give Cam more ability to get the first and get out of bounds... Flacco is a big 6'6 not really that athletic QB. For him trying to make another play against the NE secondary like he had been doing all day was the right decision IMO.

Looking at the highlights, there was 15 seconds on the clock at the field goal attempt. To me its seems that if Flacco would have ran and got the 1st after seeing that there wasn't anyone open and went out of bounds, or called a timeout quickly, then they might of still had time for one more endzone attempt before attempting the field goal, assuming Flacco doesn't get sacked.

and being 6'6 he could fall foward and get a yard for a 1st down. and he showed the ability to get away from the pressure during the game and get what he could.
