Moving on from the silliness...

Kurt Warner does something like this with his family. Anytime they eat out, he let's his kids pick out another family and they pay for their meal.

Big kudos to The Golden Calf of Bristol for this. Might not want him as mt QB, but it's always good to hear this sort of story.

 So when Cam visits kids in hospitals it's great and he deserves praise but The Golden Calf of Bristol flies people to see him and it's a Hollywood move? You don't sound cynical you just sound retarded

Boy, aren't you a bit presumptious. It's good to see you've pegged me as this one deminsional character because of my defense of Cam on this site...

Would love to know what my OPINION of an article about The Golden Calf of Bristol have to do with Cam? I guess I should have just been more politically correct and say whatever one was saying.

"Cynical" wasn't the first word that came to mind.

More like "one of the flat out dumbest posts I've ever read on this board"

Being critical of something like this is just silly.

What is so "flat out and dumb" about my post?

IMO, the article sounds very "Hollywood." It's not a knock on Tim. I'm sure he didn't have his PR put out the press release on what he was doing with those kids and their family.

Not sure why someone expressing an opinion not inline with your thinking is being preceived as "dumb." Have we really become that small-minded in our thinking?

Every one of your posts sounding the same make you a one dimensional character, has nothing to do with me.

It's pretty easy to combine any of your posts about Cam with your post in this thread and come up with my post .And it has nothing to do with being politically correct.

I'll give you a breakdown

His actions sounds like a typical Hollywood move. Helping out the sick and needy.

How is helping people "typical Hollywood move"? Normal people help the sick and needy everyday and it's considered a good deed. Because The Golden Calf of Bristol does it, it now becomes a Hollywood move? Dumb

Your original post...

His actions sounds like a typical Hollywood move. Helping out the sick and needy. What happen to the average kid who isn't sick or needy? Don't they need someone to show as much attention to them?

Also, what's with walking HIM to his car? Is that suppose to leave an every lasting impression on the family? SMH

Sorry if I sound cynical but just wondering out loud.

To describe that first paragraph as "senseless" would be a compliment.

You want to run down The Golden Calf of Bristol. We get it. We all get it. Criticizing him for his quarterbacking makes sense. Criticizing him for this is just stupid.

Lord knows we've got people on here who are so insecure about Newton that anytime something good is said about some other young QB, they have to run and squash it. Quick hint guys: Allowing that someone else can also do something good on or off the field does nothing to diminish Newton. Acting like it does makes you look ridiculous :

My advice: Do yourself a favor, admit you blew it and just back out of this thread. If you keep trying to defend that post, you're just going to make it worse. This ought to be a positive discussion. Turning it into a debate is ridiculous.

Yeah, you would feel you need to wouldn't you?

At last check, you and I are "normal people." The Golden Calf of Bristol isn't a "normal person" persay. By the way, why are you so offended by what I posted? If anyone should be mindful of the saying "to much is given, much is expected" it's The Golden Calf of Bristol. Don't have a problem with what he did. I just feel the article painted him in a very shallow and Hollywood "look at me" sort of way.

Let's see. Who needs more attention: a 10 year old average kid whose biggest worry is falling off their bike or a 10 year old who is suffering from cancer, they don't know if they will be alive tomorrow, and they have given up all hope. Dumb

All children NEED attention; both the sick, and well. Especially, since none of us are Gods and know the future of any of these kids lives.

You point this out and say "SMH" as if it is a problem. Seems like you are trying to make a big deal out of it which again is dumb.

No it's you who is making a bigger deal out of it. I simply express my feelings in regard to an article.

FYI, I don't need your advice. Especially when it's coming from such an arrogant and shallow place of judgement. The fact that you and your friend want to read all kinds of obsessed "FANDOM" over Cam into my posting is beyond sick, IMO.

Just for the record, it may be best if you don't go around lumping everyone into the same catagory. Some of us have a life outside of football and may just see things a lot differently when reading certain articles.

IMO, this article simply struck me as very shallow and pretentious and that's that. To even go as far as to mention that The Golden Calf of Bristol had the "kids walk him to his car," like he's some diety. I mean, did we really need to know all of that?

Also, since you're so quick to judge and lump everyone together, I will just remind you on my stance when it comes to The Golden Calf of Bristol and Cam. I never had a problem with The Golden Calf of Bristol. I actually rooted for him during the 2010 draft. I simply just don't get the media's desire to paint him as the seconding coming of Christ on one hand; while making so many excuses for his QB skills on the other. And I simply don't get Tim's fans, nor the media's desire to lump Tim and Cam together outside the fact that Cam went to the same university for a hot minute. There are many other mobile and strong QBs in the league. Why not compare Tim to them?

So, here is my advise to you, maybe it's time for you to take off your prejudgemental glasses and practice what you preach.

Well brother, I believe you really need to pay closer attention because many of my postings on this site have been against the MEDIA and their intentional distorted painting of Cam. In other words, my pet peeve was/is more with our media and less with Cam. But, I guess that went completely over your head. Just like my opinion of this article.

I forgive you thou. I see why you would be so quick to judge my postings and assume.

No ALL of your posts are about that, that is why you are a one dimensional character. But I guess that went completely over your head. I forgive you tho, I can see you aren't very intelligent so it's not your fault.

There way too much hate all around the world. It seems to be on the rise. It has skocked me to see all the increasing hatred of Christians. If the news haters would just stick around after the games, they could make stories and fun of the many players that gather after the games in the center of the field to pray.

I loved hearing this about The Golden Calf of Bristol. He's won me as a fan.

I hope the young aspiring football hopefuls are thing that that is just another great thing about being a sucessful football player. To add some joy and comfort to the lives of people that are suffering.

Ah yes, the ever popular "play the victim" strategy

You accuse The Golden Calf of Bristol of false motives for doing a good thing, then say we're being judgmental? Oh the irony

Face it. You made a stupid post. You got called on it. And by several folks, not just me and Chef.

Like I said, you can own up and back out, but instead you're choosing to make yourself look worse.

It's your own fault. And a shame, since the topic of this thread is something very positive. But instead of talking about that, we're gabbing about one dumb response :nonod:

ya know, you don't need to like The Golden Calf of Bristol on the football field nor do you need to like how the media covers him to acknowledge he does seem to genuinely like helping people. I actually heard people saying things like "well maybe if during the lockout he was practicing instead of doing charity work he'd be a better quarterback." Perhaps that's true, but maybe in the long run his charity work makes a bigger impact than anything he can do on the football field anyway.
