Should Norwood move back to LB?

Kinda feel bad for Norwood. But if you cannot get playing time on our D what does that say for you?

Who knows, maybe he will put in the work this offseason and show he is ready to take the game seriously. Not even sure that would be enough to keep him around another year.

He does not get playing time with the D-line, ain't sure he will ever get playing time at LB. So there is really no where for him to play.

I guess Capt, will be the only Gamecock left this year. And GOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

depends on how large his roster bonus is. If he is due a bonus in april, or whenever the fiscal year begins, go ahead and cut ties.

Ooops on the pie. But by all means go ahead and keep it.

I could be wrong, but is this not the last year of his rookie contract? However, if his cap hit is too excessive, go ahead and drop him. If he is still cheap, see if there is a way to use him. If we cannot use him, loose him.

says something where in a season where the panthers brought up practice squad player after practice squad player due to injuries, and this guy slides from 3rd DE with ample ST action to inactive for the vast majority of the 2nd half of the season. i think this offseason and training camp is as much about "put up or shut up" for him as anyone else on the team. he's still a youngin so he's still got a chance, but i'd imagine he's got to show something really soon, even if just in ST duty, to make the 53 out of training camp next august.

Thats why Godfrey got the extension. He is a guy who stays late studying film all the time. I think he will keep improving every year and be our best safety in history

Idk about that. But he has heart. Martin makes him look terrible

Funny. I remember Godfrey made our CB look terrible once

Should Norwood move back to LB?

Depends on what the needs are on whatever team he ends up with.

Yeah, it's possible he stays. I'm just not expecting it.

Fourth rounder down the drain.

Draft picks from fourth round and lower don't always stick. It's not just the Panthers.

I always liked Norwood...great character guy coupled with an incredible motor and drive on the field..always around the ball in college. High hopes when he was drafted, but he never seemed to fit in. Will begin his third season this year, and will turn 24 in May....rookie contract, probably will stay.
