Stealth Cat Fail

Rofl. Do they actually have the ability to watch things such as video and find them funny, or do they usually just copy and read emotion from others?

They tend to laugh appropriately. My guess is that they've picked up that laughter is a "happy thing". They also use "touchdown" as a happy word (not hard to guess how they picked that up). And this particular species are known to have playful, clownish personalities anyway.

In this particular case, Fox was watching the screen, not me. And like I said above, actually started laughing before me.

My worry was that they'd be scared seeing a cat. The female was once attacked by a cat my in-laws had. I guess laughing at one of their predators is kind of ironic

Wonder what a bird finds funny.

Birds can comprehend two dimensional figures on a television screen?

On an iPad, in this case.

How or what they actually see? I couldn't tell you. They react appropriately often enough that I figure they probably can see pretty well.

They have a habit of saying "mommy" to images of a female (which in some cases lead me to say "I wish"). They tend to sit and watch TV with me a lot. Fox (the male) stares at football games like he's breaking down game film.

Oddly enough, a Couple years back, one of them reacted to an image of Steve Smith on an SI commercial by saying "touchdown". I had to laugh

That's awesome. They sound quite intelligent. Wish I had the patience and ability to take care of one.
