Due to the use of the stadium for the Democratic National Convention....

Who do you think we will open up with? Division matchups usually happen later in the season, and my guess is that it wouldn't be a West Coast opponent since we likely will have a Week 2 home game. My guess - the Philadelphia Eagles in a primetime game.

EDIT: FML for misspelling "regular" in the thread title

I agree, Philly on prime time would be a good pick as far as revenue and a great way to open the season for the NFL. If not them, I'd expect us to get Washington or Chicago. Neither would be prime time (except maybe Chicago, but I doubt it).

Regardless, I think we're definitely getting at least one prime time game, just because of Cam and the offense. Most likely, the defense will approve, so we'd definitely be a complete team that the country would love to watch.

What were the opening primetime games this year? (besides SB champ game)

Dallas and the Jets on SNF (for the 9/11 game)

I think it was the Patriots-Dolphins for the earlier MNF game where Brady and Henne threw for 8 billion yards (approximately).

IIRC, I think the later MNF game traditionally has been an AFC West matchup.
